A Night of Bay Area Decadence ♥
Being one of only seven stores to carry Galia Lahav's coveted new wedding dress collection, Tales of Jazz Age, the exquisite Kinsley James couture bridal salon wanted to find a unique way to showcase the spectacular collection. The Galia Lahav couture gowns are frequently requested for photo shoots, yet rarely loaned out. Few people actually get to see the beauty of the gowns first hand so they decided to put on an over the top experience for not only brides but Bay Area wedding professionals too so that photographers and coordinators to finally get a piece of the action too.
Kinsley James chose Brian Macstay to shoot the event because his photos have a dark, sexy edge to them which they felt fits well with Galia's collection. For decor they worked with A Touch of Grace, their sister wedding coordinating company, who come up with design and a gorgeous glam color scheme. They also created stunning gold art deco invitations, which were mailed to select industry professionals. Champagne from Nottingham Cellars and custom cocktails were poured, along with delicious sweets from culinary artist Kitty Wong's Pastry Shop. Petite Pomme Design decorated their store windows and the boutique was set for a perfect night!
"Models were posed on our runway all night in the new collection, the guests loved every minute of taking in the beauty! The two looks that stole the night were Katharina, the dress is named after Sharons; the lead designers muse & model, which has geometric placed beading that fully embodies the Jazz Era, as well as Marilyn, from the Moonstuck evening wear collection. The black gown was a complete show stopper! We ended up selling it gown that night to a woman who happened to stop by and thought it would be perfect for her holiday party! We could not have asked for a better turn out, many of our brides who had appointments for the trunk show loved being able to see the gown they had purchased model in person!
