What to do 1 month before the wedding - Wedding Friends

via

Time is moving fast and you're almost at wedding day - hooray! See the list below of all the last minute items that need your attention as provided by Pretty Perfect Events.
1. RSVP Deadline

Ideally your RSVP replies should be in 1 month before the wedding. This allows ample time to confirm seating, number of people to cater for etc. Often suppliers will adjust quotes to include the exact number of items you need so it is important that you get this information to them as early as possible.

2. Confirm guest numbers

As mentioned above your RSVP deadline should confirm your guest numbers. Send this to suppliers and to all who need to know this information.

3. Mail rehearsal dinner invitations

If you are hosting a get together the day/evening before your wedding, this is the time to mail your invited guests. Let them know what the plan is and get them to rsvp if you need this information for catering purposes.

4. Stock the bar

Whether your venue is stocking the bar or you are taking this upon yourself, do this now. Usually if a venue is providing you with a bar they require you to let them know which items you'd like to be made available to your guests a month in advance, so get in touch and finalize this item.

5. Confirm times with all vendors and email directions

If you don't have a planner, you'll need to confirm set up times with all your vendors whether they are delivering the day before or on the day of the wedding. Make sure you get a reply acknowledging the date and time and that all suppliers know where the venue is - directions are always helpful. It is also advisable to give them a contact number of someone they can call should they need to. This should ideally not be you (the bride), but rather your Maid of Honour or someone that knows the ins and outs of the wedding. You as the bride need to remain as stress free on the big day.

6. Create the seating plan

Once you have all your rsvps you can start with your seating chart. Allow enough time for this with your husband to be, this can get rather time consuming! A little tip: allocate guests to a specific table, but letting them sort themselves out when it comes to who would like to sit next to who. It makes life a lot easier, trust us!

7. Purchase bridesmaids & groomsmen gifts

Most bride and grooms like to give a little something as a token of thanks to their bridal party for standing next to them on the big day. Options are endless here - use your imagination!

And that's that! 30 days and counting till the big day - relax and enjoy it!
