Cool Boho Wedding Inspiration Shoot

Cool Boho Wedding Inspiration Shoot

via

We spoke a few weeks ago about how we're loving the trend for all things rustic, Southwest and bohemian.

And today's gorgeous inspiration shoot, by the awesome Marissa Kay Photography and Olivia Richards Photography, shows us just why cool couples are opting for an elegant eclectic feel to their wedding day.

Plush, wild blooms, free-spirited gypsy attire, and assorted adornments from vintage treasures to thrift store finds; this shoot is just full of beautiful ideas for a timeless boho bash.

Featuring some of the best vendors in the Bay Area, (and beyond!) before we let you feast your eyes on this gorgeous shoot, we'll let the wonderful Marissa Kay Photography tell you more about it...

From The Photographer

Planning and shooting this styled wedding was such an amazing experience! This was actually my first time coordinating and photographing a styled shoot. I contacted different vendors in the Bay Area, and before I knew it, we had a great team of talented vendors willing to collaborate on the shoot! Our hope was to create something timeless but elegant at the same time. We knew we wanted to incorporate a bohemian vibe, but we didn't want it to be too trendy (think tribal prints and dreamcatchers). Lauren, the stylist behind Nicoella, was able to bring our vision to fruition. Karen from Huckleberry Karen Designs created the absolutely stunning eucalyptus table garland, the gorgeous bouquet, and the oh-so-pretty eucalyptus head crown. We were swooning over her floral designs the entire shoot! The talented mother, daughter duo behind Miscellanea Rentals drove up from Los Angeles to be a part of our shoot!(Their family has been friends with my family for 20 years!) They provided the to-die-for wooden dining table, the gorgeous wooden dessert hutch, and all of the miscellaneous (no pun intended) items and decor for the shoot. The place settings were rented from Frances Lane. I made the little cake, and I got the dress worn by the "bride" for $6 at a local thrift store! For the ceremony backdrop, Lauren (the stylist) hung a macrame curtain (from Urban Outfitters) on a wooden rod and situated it in a tree. She positioned the animal skull atop it, and Karen (the florist) and her decorated it with extra flora that we had. We think this shoot would be the perfect inspiration for the slightly trendy, slightly offbeat boho bride. We incorporated various DIY aspects that could be easily replicated for a real wedding. We also love that our models are a real-life, in-love couple!

So cool, right? I just love everything, the florals, the backdrop, the crown, the table, we might just have to steal some of these ideas for ourselves! (And can you believe that dress was only $6?)

Thanks so much to Marissa Kay Photography, Olivia Richards Photography, and this talented team of vendors for sharing this gorgeous boho shoot.
