Spring is the perfect season for French rustic weddings, with their focus on fresh foods and blooms. If you're a fan of shabby chic, you're going to love French rustic, as it was the birthplace of the style. We'll focus on all the pretty details to enhance your own Francophile affair.

French springs and summers means a whole lot of outdoor weddings. Create elegant arches with drapes and a border of eucalyptus leaves. Line the "altar" with glass lanterns with pillar candles for a romantic sunset ceremony. As you can probably tell, greenery plays a large role in these weddings. You can even skip the tin cans and go with a swag on the getaway car.

For a French wedding, you can go traditional (above) with croquembouche (a mouthwatering tower of cream-filled profiteroles covered in sticky caramel). Or embrace the natural farm-to-table vibe and design a naked wedding cake decorated with ripe fresh fruit and flowers from the garden (below).
