Known for his contemporary designs and penchant for architecture, Venezuelan designer Angel Sanchez highlighted his latest spring collection with an emphasis on fresh floral details and soft, sheer textiles. From printed organza to airy chiffon, Sanchez's selection of ethereal fabrics showcased the collection's delicate and feminine nature, while peek-a-boo cuts, elaborate back detailing and lace cutout paneling imbued gowns with a perfect mix of drama and style. Sanchez's signature look of crisp lines and clean structuring also made appearances throughout the collection, which saw several gowns donning striking layered cuts for a stunning origami effect. Gowns featuring perforated polka dot patterns, heavy gazar and jacquard floral prints also emphasized Sanchez's exploration of texture and gave the collection a decidedly eccentric and diverse feel. Silhouettes were equally varied and showcased capacious A-lines, sleek fit-and-flares, elegant drop-waists and even a stunning metallic lace pantsuit paired with a white sheer layered bodice and train. Other standouts from the 12-piece collection included a gorgeous long sleeve lace gown with metallic thread work and texturized floral appliques as well as a bold organza number, complete with a tiered voluminous skirt and exquisite 3D floral beaded sleeves.
