The Berry Styled Shoot - Wedding Friends

As 'Artists', wedding suppliers feel the need to now and then test their creative abilities by doing a shoot they would normally not get to do at a wedding. It is their time to show what they are capable off and what they can offer the world, and by doing this they aim to inspire who ever feels the need to be inspired. Carolien and Ben Photography is sharing with us a Berry Styled Shoot in collaboration with great suppliers held at Imperfect Perfection just outside of Pretoria. Our message for you as viewer today is, indulge, absorb and be inspired!

From the Photographer:

We decided on a berry hued styled shoot because it has the potential to capture the sultry
feel of winter coming up with different berry colours, subtle faded greens and striking reds - therefore it is a wonderful colour scheme to incorporate in a winter wedding.
We played around with textures as is evident throughout the shoot. Masculinity and
femininity complements each other perfectly in every aspect - from the decor to the bridal
couple's attire.

Hester, from Love & Grace expertly combined velvety floral textures along with more rustic succulent elements. We especially loved the use of artichokes and mini eggplants in the bouquet and flower settings. The naked wooden table with silken cloths draped over it
proved to be a perfect table setting.

We chose different coloured macaroons instead of a wedding cake to add a fun touch, and
it proved useful as props for the couple to hold too!

The dress was an absolute handmade masterpiece by White Lilly Bridal Couture and
moves away from traditional dress designs. The dress was entirely made of raw silk which
moved beautifully with the slightest breeze. The exquisite hand-beaded bodice
photographed perfectly and complimented the purple tones of the shoot. The designer
even made foot jewellery to complement the dress and add a bohemian touch.
Alexander Fine Attire provided us with the perfect clean cut suit in grey tones that could be paired with a crisp white shirt and finished off with a burgundy-coloured velvet bow tie.
One of the most striking elements of the shoot undoubtedly has to be Lorean Jewellery's
artisan creations of brass, silver, gold, pearls and fluorite which keeps the eye interested
and craving more!

We decided to keep the hair and makeup simple but striking to contribute to an effortlessly elegant look that can easily be replicated by a bride herself.
