You may have heard of, or even know someone who has had their wedding at the London Eye, and for good reason! If you have been living under a rock and don't know what the London eye is, let me shed some light on it for you. The London Eye is a huge Ferris wheel located in the South Bank of the River Thames. It stands at a whopping 443ft tall and gives the rider stunning views across the whole of London. This is made even more spectacular by the fact that you are not just sat there on a typical Ferris wheel carriage with your legs dangling down. You are taken round the wheel in a huge compartment that can comfortably house up to 25 people and I'm sure you have already started to picture the exquisite setting that this would give your special day.

Getting married at the London Eye is a truly unique experience as (obviously) you can see far and wide! It is, however, fairly pricey with the cheapest package coming in at £2800. For this you get a private capsule which is decorated with gorgeous flowers to your taste, a specialist civil ceremony co-ordinator to help you plan the big day and a glass of bubbly to top it all off! You also get two rotations of the wheel (which is one hour). For the celebration package you get all of the above as well a fancy meal, bubbly for your guests, a choice of a bouquet or four button holes and an upgrade to their special 'Cupid's Capsule' for your first wedding anniversary.

Stonehenge is a pre-historic monument based in Wiltshire that is thought to have been built a whopping 5000 years ago! Its huge stones have been the subject of study and mystery for centuries. The circle of Stonehenge is seen as a symbol of eternity so it is the perfect setting for a wedding with a twist. Whether you want a traditional wedding, a hand fasting ceremony or a vow renewal, Stonehenge provides a magical backdrop with a truly sensational atmosphere that enables you to combine ancient wonder with the beginning of your life together as a married couple. It is also worth noting that the inner circle of Stonehenge has been closed off since the 70s and having your wedding there means that they will reopen it just for you, so it really is such a special ceremony!

Not only does getting married at Stonehenge guarantee a magical, stunning wedding that you and your guests will never forget, but it is also not too shabby on the purse strings either! The basic package costs just £195 and includes a minister to perform your ceremony, help to create your personalised wedding and the Stonehenge entrance fee for both the bride and groom. Photography packages are also available as well as an 'Ultimate Circle Access Package' costing £1100. This includes (among other things) a DVD montage of your special day set to music.

Based in the historical city of York, the National Railway Museum certainly offers a wedding day that you and your guests will never forget. The whole museum is fully licenced, so you get the choice of which room or gallery you wish to have the ceremony performed in. You could have a marvellous setting of shiny gold and deep reds as a vintage steam train acts as the uniquely perfect backdrop for your photographs or evening meal. You can even choose to hold your reception in Queen Victoria's carriage in the royal gallery, or on the stunning museum grounds! The venue can comfortably hold up to 200 guests so it is suitable for weddings of all sizes.

The National Railway Museum offers an exquisite all-inclusive wedding package for £6,000. This includes (but is not limited to) the civil ceremony and hire of one of the luxury halls until 1am, use of some of gorgeous antique tables, DJ, drinks package, 3 course wedding breakfast menu, late night snacks, £200 towards the photographer, complimentary on-sight parking and much more! Also: additional evening only guests can be added for just ten pounds per person.
