WWW readers Sarah and Adam were married on Friday 27 March 2015 in the Tythe Barn at Priston Mill. They had a happy and bright day with a nod to travel in the details.

One of my favourite things about this wedding has to be the navy and colour pop yellow colour scheme. There were Ranunculus bouquets, yellow socks and stylish paper goods.

Sarah donned an elegant Rose & Delilah gown teamed with LK Bennett heels while Adam was suited and booted in Reiss. Gorgeous.

THE PROPOSAL | Adam proposed on the first night of a weekend break in Paris. I usually know when something is on his mind but he managed to catch me completely unaware on the walk home. I was standing in the middle of the Pont des Artes waxing lyrical about how I love Paris. It was late at night and had just started to rain so the bridge was deserted. We had such an amazing few days afterwards celebrating.

THE VISION | Most important to us was to celebrate our marriage with the very important people in our lives. There are quite a few important people so we knew early on it wouldn't be a small wedding!

THE PLANNING PROCESS | We didn't have a clear idea of how to get started and I just remember feeling slightly overwhelmed at the idea of planning a day that everyone would enjoy - I usually hate organising my own birthday drinks. I guess our guests were the starting point as quite a few were travelling from far away to be there. We decided to have a bit of travel theme mixed with our love of cities mixed with a feeling of spring - and go from there.

THE VENUE | Tythe Barn, Priston Mill is near to Bath. The Barn is such a lovely big space with high ceilings and exposed brick work; it felt exactly what we were looking for as we were trying to steer away from a hotel feel. They really know what they're doing and everything - the running of the day, the food, drinks - was executed perfectly. I was told I wouldn't eat much on the day but the lamb was so good I ate it all up.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | The Ava dress by Rose & Delilah. For jewellery I wore my Nanny's ring borrowed from my sister Marie and a necklace and earrings from Laura Lee in Covent Garden. My hair slides were from Anthopologie and shoes from LK Bennett.

FINDING THE DRESS | Before trying on dresses I had planned to go for something that wasn't typically 'bridal' and I could wear again. But I don't know what I was thinking as trying on wedding dresses is so much fun and I found it surprisingly easy to convince myself that buying a one-off amazing dress that I am unlikely to wear ever again was completely justified. I chose the Ava dress by Rose & Delilah from Luella's Boudoir in Wimbledon. Rose & Delilah dresses are all about simple silhouettes with a modern, vintage feel. The Ava dress just felt like me, it was comfortable but felt really special and I adored the French lace cap sleeve and waist detail.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Adam wore a three piece navy checked suit from Reiss, which is a bit easier for him to wear again. Their in-house tailoring service was very good and they were happy to make tweaks to get the fit as he wanted. His brown brogues were from Russell & Bromley. The best man and ushers wore their own navy suits. The ties were all from Turnbull & Asser, shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt and yellow socks from Cos.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | The readings will remain one of the most personal and memorable parts of our day and really made the ceremony perfect. My best friend Georgie read the lyrics to Bob Dylan's 'To be Alone With You'. My sisters Clare and Marie read a version of 'The Lovely Love Story ' by Edward Monkton, which we'd adapted to make it personal and unique to me and Adam.

I walked down the aisle to 'La Vie En Rose' by Cristin Milioti and we walked back out to 'Me and You' by Barry Louis Polisar.

Paddy from Disco Wed played a fantastic set for the evening party. He was very professional and totally understood what we wanted. I love dancing at weddings but hate a cheesy wedding DJ - and Paddy is far far from that! So many friends told us they loved it when we caught up with them the next day.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAID | My bridesmaid Celia wore the Sylvia dress from Ghost. They only criteria was for the dress to be navy to match the boys and for Celia to love it. She looked so gorgeous and the capped sleeves and subtle trail complemented my dress perfectly.

THE FLOWERS | I knew that I wanted simple flowers with not much foliage and for them to be modern, yellow and spring like. An appointment we had was cancelled and to make the most of the time I searched around for other options. I found Young Blooms and saw they were based at Hartley Farm which I knew about from my sister Clare. It seemed like a good idea to combine a flower appointment with coffee and cake so I booked an appointment with Grace. She took my vague idea of what I wanted and with her knowledge of the venue really brought it to life.

THE CAKE | Adam's auntie Christine offered to make our beautiful wedding cake. She's always made and iced amazing cakes for Adam and his brothers growing up and it was so lovely she made such a pretty and exceptionally tasty cake for our wedding.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Having photographs we liked was really important to us as they are the memories that we could keep, share and look back on when we are old and grey. We booked Emma and Ian from Big Bouquet almost a year in advance. I'd spent some time looking online at photographers local to our venue and further afield but wasn't inspired until I happened upon the Big Bouquet website. We loved their photographs and just felt they had captured the individuality of each wedding so well. After exchanging emails with Emma we were convinced they were the perfect couple to shoot our wedding.

Adam wasn't the biggest fan of having his photo taken and looking back now it was definitely a good idea to meet up with Emma and Ian for our engagement shoot. They were brilliant at making us feel relaxed and produced some lovely photos so we had total faith that they'd be amazing at our wedding too. When Emma told us the only way to get over to the fields was to wade through the brook we loved the idea. On the day they were easy going but also completely on it - making sure we have the memories to keep for always. I can't explain how lucky I feel to have happened upon them - we love the photos and have had so many compliments about them.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | I first have to mention Adam's brother Ryan who is a super talented graphic designer and did all of our stationery. Ryan put so much time and effort into the detail of everything he did, every time he sent us something new we were amazed and the harder we looked the more we saw the personal details he'd added in. The table designs are going to go up as artwork when we have a house to display them in.

Putting together the other details for the day was the bit of the planning that Adam and I most enjoyed - as this is where we could add our sentiment and personality. We didn't worry too much about a theme or if it all linked together but just came up with ideas that we liked!

Our favours were yellow and white striped bags of sweets with some dog stickers and a card explaining that we had donated to the Guide Dogs for the Blind on behalf of each guest. We had photos of us growing up, fairy lights, candles, chalkboards for the order of the day, a guide book from each city for our guest books (hilarious reading them back), a guide to Essex speech and a crate with our nicknames on for our cards. The sparklers in the evening were very funny.

VIDEOGRAPHER | Having a videographer was a later decision. It wasn't in our budget but every wedding blog I seemed to read advised having one. We agonised for a bit and then decided to go with Tom from Tom Dawson Visuals. We were a bit worried about it feeling too much being photographed and filmed but we shouldn't have as Tom just let our photographer direct things and his kit was so discreet we hardly noticed he was there. The video really makes us smile and we love it. It's a great memory to have and different from the photographs - so yes to other brides I really recommend it if you can.

THE HONEYMOON | We spent the weekend after our wedding with family and friends, including a debrief at the pub the next evening. On the Monday we flew to Oman and stayed in the magnificent mountain range of Al Hajar and then onto a stunning island in the Maldives for the second leg. The trip was incredible and I really recommend Turquoise Holiday Company who organised it all so perfectly.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | It's impossible to choose - I keep changing my mind as I write. We loved it all and although it's a bit sad it's over I wouldn't change a thing and will treasure all the memories.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | My advice for brides is to enjoy the whole process and to have a spreadsheet. It helps being as organised as you can manage to be in the early stages and try not to agonise too much about getting things perfect - just go with what you both want to do as when you see it all together on the day it's the best feeling. Take a little time out with your new husband so you can look around at all your loved ones and savour the fact that you just got married - it's beyond amazing.
