There's a special way to merge rustic style with classic glamour, and this lovely couple has achieved just that with their colorful, romantic New York wedding. Every inch of this celebration feels like spring, and that is apparently just want the two love birds had hoped to achieve. Check out even more photos below from CLY by Matthew to see how one couple transformed a snowy day into a glorious tented affair at the Lyndhurst Castle.

From the Bride:

We were introduced by mutual friends after Evan moved to NYC at a group dinner. We both acted a bit shy, as neither of us had ever been set up before. We both knew there was something special about the other, and after that night, began dating. A year and a half later we moved in together, and then shortly made ourselves a family of three when we brought Olive home, our little French Bulldog, and love of our lives. Another year later, Evan proposed in the middle of Central Park (on the coldest day of the year) with all of our family watching from the Boathouse. It was (at that point) the best, and most romantic, day ever.

As we were planning our wedding, our goal was to have it reflect who we are and celebrate the love between us. We wanted our wedding to feel personal, and to be surrounded by the people who meant the most to us. "Romantic," "colorful" and "fun" were the words we used to describe what we wanted. We wanted the flowers to be colorful and to feel like spring. We took a chance with the weather on March 28, though it's "technically" spring, and of course it snowed! But, as soon as everyone walked into the tent, we were transformed into a beautiful spring day. From then on, we wanted people up, dancing, and having a great time!

As soon as we met Matthew, we knew we had found our photographer. He totally understood what we were looking for, and we trusted him completely to capture it all. He took our engagement photos and they were simply amazing. They were literally everything we wanted them to be. Matthew is super calm, and brings a really great energy. On our wedding day, him and his team were just great. They were there when they needed to be, and "invisible" when necessary. From the previews we saw, the wedding pictures are outstanding!

My advice to brides planning their wedding would be to not get lost in the planning. Remember why you are doing this. Take a step back and just try to enjoy everything. Everyone told me that everything would work out, and at times it didn't feel like they would, but they were right. Everything was perfect. If anything does go wrong, no one will notice! Lastly, take a step back at your wedding with your husband and just take it all in! It will fly by.
