Nordstrom Fashion Director Jeffrey Kalinsky on The Coveteur

Jeffrey Kalinsky: founder of Jeffrey, a trifecta of perfectly curated designer boutiques including two iconic brick-and-mortars (Atlanta and NYC) as well as a convenient online outpost; our own Fashion Director of all things designer; and retail visionary extraordinaire. Need we say more?

Thanks to the recent bio courtesy of , not really (for now, anyway).

It feels like just yesterday we were feeling the love from their candid profile on our director of creative projects Olivia Kim. This time around, we're awarded an up-close-and-personal glimpse into Jeffrey's private chambers-strategically adorned with his collections of Birkin bags and Nike runners galore for quite the delicious photo-op (as is The Coveteur' s M.O.).

The consummate entrepreneur shares a wealth of insights, from the pros and cons of striking out (and making it) on your own to the nuts and bolts of his daily uniform; keep scrolling for a few noteworthy snippets from the beautifully catalogued story.

"[When I travel] I take my pillows; I take a couple bags of Starbucks coffee if I'm flying internationally. This last trip to Paris, you would have found eight bananas. My gum-I'm a gum addict. I'm addicted to Extra Winterfresh. It's kind of hard to find. I have to actually order it from Amazon."

"I have a uniform... in the winter I'm always in sneakers which are predominantly Nike... and the only thing that changes a lot is my knit... In the summer it's the same Nikes and the same light sock, but it's a no-show white sock and the jeans are replaced with shorts, which I love, because I can sort of pick a new pair of shorts out everyday and express myself like that."

"I think some of the best parts [about being an entrepreneur] are that you're the master of your own destiny, that the only limit in some ways is yourself, meaning you can try anything-there's nobody who's telling you that you can't."

Whether or not you're pursuing your own soon-to-be-seminal enterprise, these are words worth heeding. You heard the man: be the master of your own destiny.
