Once again, Nick Viall is left broken-hearted.

The runner-up from Season 10 of "The Bachelorette" also became the runner-up of Season 11 when Kaitlyn Bristowe gave Shawn Booth the final rose during Monday night's finale. Booth, who was mortal enemies with Viall all season long, got down on one knee and proposed to Bristowe, who accepted and slipped a gorgeous Neil Lane diamond ring on her finger.

"I fall more and more in love with you every time I see you. When I look at you, I see my best friend, my partner in crime, my teammate and the love of my life ... I love you so much Kaitlyn," Booth told her.

"I have to be honest with you and tell you the truth, and the truth is that I never want you to question what we have ever again, because I am completely yours and I will always be faithful to you," she told him in response. "And I have been waiting so long to tell you how I feel because I love you with all of my heart the way I've never loved anyone before ..."

And if you're curious, yes, he accepted the final rose.

Reports have been flying for months that Booth was this season's "winner" after Bristowe accidentally shared a Snapchat video of her and Booth in June. Still, Booth has been a frontrunner since episode one, when he took home the first impression rose.

As for Nick Viall? Well, he looked pretty devastated during the finale when Bristowe told him he wasn't the one. "I'm sorry," she said to him, holding back tears. "The only explanation I have is that my heart is just with somebody else."

"You knew how I felt about you ... it was more than just a moment," he said, as Bristowe tried to tell Viall her feelings for him were real. "It's not fair for you to tell me [that] what I feel you feel the same, because you don't ... You don't feel what I feel. You don't love me."

Viall faced similar heartbreak when former "Bachelorette" Andi Dorfman chose Josh Murray over him last year. (Dorfman and Murray are no longer together.) Viall famously shocked viewers across the nation when he called out Dorfman for sleeping with him in the Fantasy Suite before sending him home. Similarly, Viall was at the center of another "Bachelorette" sex scandal after he and Bristowe "got intimate" early on in the season, and openly discussed it on the show and in on-air interviews.

Clearly, Booth was none too pleased when he found out about Bristowe's connection with Viall, but all seems to be just fine now ...
