South Africa has so many cultures that form part of our beautiful rainbow nation. Today we share the Greek wedding of Michelle and Costa at Meyersdal Estate. Now, the Greeks are very well known for their crazy dancing and party ability, these people know how to celebrate. The flower arrangements are beautiful combinations of organic and modern elements, a perfectly planned soft palette. Photography was done by June and July Photography who tells the story in such an elegant way. Have a look and be inspired!

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

How do you describe the most important day of your life and specifically the
most memorable moments because the whole day was made up of most
memorable moments. The ones that stand out the most: Standing next to each
other in church and making a promise to God that we will love each other
forever. When I saw our son Thanasi in his Tuxedo it moved me to tears we felt
so blessed to have him at our wedding! And another highlighted moment was
Costas speech that touched me so deeply. Then lastly was our wedding dance
to "we are all we need", a dance that told our story and that encapsulated our
journey!

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

It was the 1st of January 2005, pool party at a friend's house, the day I met the love
of my life. Cos & I were eyeing each other the whole day, as the night grew it
started getting colder outside, Cos got a blanket, covered us both & like
teenagers we held hands for the first time under the blanket. We moved inside
where we watched the Eddie Murphy Raw show & I ended up falling asleep on
Costa's lap... he left without leaving a number! I honestly thought that I would
never hear from Cos again, but that Wednesday I got the call! "Hey Mickey,
do you want to come over for a braai?" The rest is history!

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

It was Easter Sunday and being part of a Greek Family it is a significant day in
the Greek Culture. As tradition holds, this day was celebrated with a big family
lunch. True to our reputation of always being late Cos and I were late again. I
faffed about what to wear, complaining about the fact that I have nothing to
wear, rambling through my cupboard, Costa asks, "Why don't you try this on"?
As I turned around there he was, on his knee with the most beautiful ring I have
ever seen, he asked me to marry him! The fact that we got engaged on such a
sacred day just made it so much more special and unforgettable.
