Newlyweds with disabilities celebrate independence together

via

Photographer Laura Matthews told us that neither Chris nor Jaime had ever dreamed of the life they've created for themselves today. Both have intellectual disabilities and have faced their own obstacles, but they now live independently together, hold jobs, drive, and are active in their communities.

Chris and Jaime met five years ago at a party and said their vows this past June at Meadow Farm Park in Virginia. From the horse-drawn carriage that dropped Jaime off at the ceremony to the rose petals lining the aisle, I'm loving the frothily romantic details all over the place. For instance, you gotta see the adorable bell jar for the cards and gifts!
