Everyone knows that the Pacific Northwest is one of the coolest places for weddings, churning out more unique real weddings, inspired photography and creative ideas than anywhere else.

And while cities like Portland, Vancouver and Seattle are home to some of the top vendors in the region, it's once they get out into nature that the real fun begins.

As one of the most raw and romantic expanses in the US, the PNW is littered with epic spots for unique bridal shoots or wedding portrait sessions, just like this one at Abiqua Falls in Oregon, by Jessica of J.M. Hunter Photography.

With lush blooms, gorgeous dresses and beautiful stationery, even the most simple of shoots can be laden with inspiration.

The Pacific Northwest holds a vast amount of beauty and hidden gems and this shoot was inspired by the raw beauty and serene look of Abiqua Falls. I wanted to showcase a very natural but elegant look for those adventurous brides who are willing to hike to such places, but still want the elegance of a bride. I paired the natural and elegant look with very deep luscious colors to match the calming and relaxing feeling of the falls. With two different looks I was able to do a very classic look that incorporated loose curls and a big floral crown and then a second look that said goodbye to the popular floral crown and welcomed botanical jewelry. The draped floral along the open back line really added a unique element that I haven't seen before and tied in with the natural and elegance perfectly.

So enchanting, I love the idea of seeking out an evocative backdrop for some really special wedding pictures. And I've said it before, but I cannot get enough of these Silk & Willow ribbons!
