A big warm welcome this lovely Monday morning. Hello to new and long term WWW readers alike, I hope you find all the wedding inspiration you desire today. Let's begin though with the sweetest nuptials of WWW readers Holly and Richard who were married on the 13 ^th September 2014.

Holly and Richard wanted to stay true to their roots and so planned a delightful village celebration. Following their Church ceremony they held their wedding reception in a marquee on the Cricket ground, it doesn't get more quintessentially British that that now does it?

The whole party was a lovingly home made affair, with Holly baking the cake and loved ones creating and crafting so many of the touches. Holly wore her mum's wedding dress after some alterations with a gorgeous flower crown. She looked so very pretty. Ribbon bouquets, gents in waistcoats and vintage crockery... YAY.

THE PROPOSAL | Sunset overlooking the pacific in Tofino. To my complete surprise Rick produced a ring from his sock and asked if we could make the moment even more wonderful. After some shocked hysterics I managed to say yes!

THE VISION | To keep it a celebration true to us, our beginnings and the way forward. We met as teenagers in the local village pub over ten years ago! English country village fete was the main theme, and allowed us to make it 'home made', personal and fun.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | We had a year to plan, though in typical style that meant about 9 months by the time we started doing anything. We tried hard to make sure the day would reflect our personalities and include lovely things we enjoyed, but still celebrate the meaning of a wedding. The venue, church, cake (!) and the right photographer were really important. Our plan meant we started from scratch, which was a bit crazy but we did it in the end. Would we plan it all again? Hell no! Wedding planning is not for me!

THE VENUE | Before we were even engaged we had talked about having a reception at the local village cricket ground. It's a lovely big green space surrounded by oak trees and fields. It took some vision but we decided that with a lovely big 'tent' this would be it! We had to stick to our guns on this one, but so glad we did.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | I wore my mum's wedding dress which underwent some 'modernisation' from its hippy roots. The amazing Katrine Mogensen kindly agreed to undertake this for us (a step away from her normal wedding dress designs from scratch) and she totally understood how I hoped it would turn out. She added lace and chiffon roses and even convinced me to have a veil. My shoes were Dune Black and I had a flower crown from Libby Ferris florist.

FINDING THE DRESS | In the loft! My mum got her dress out to show me one day and it fitted perfectly. After trying on other dresses I was still drawn to mum's. She even threw it in the wash and it came out fine! Not many men get to walk the dress both ways down the aisle, lucky dad!

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Rick wore chinos, a waistcoat from Topman and a tie to go with our relaxed country style. Plus he needed to be able to ride a bike!

THE READINGS & MUSIC | Rick's a keen cyclist and we found a lovely reading about how marriage is like riding a bike. We also did our own reading together, A Lovey Love Story, by Edward Monkton. Rick bought it for me one Valentines and we've always thought it is very like us. We kept the music traditional with the bridal march and very English with the Radio 4 theme tune classical compendium playing while we signed the Register.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | My beautiful bridesmaids were my two sisters, my close friend and Rick's two nieces. Their dresses were all different though had a relaxed floral theme running throughout. They all looked stunning and the dresses from Vivien of Holloway, and Monsoon for the younger two, reflected their individuality. We tied them all in with floral hair accessories and bouquets to match their dresses.

THE FLOWERS | The most beautiful flowers were supplied by Libby Ferris in Norwich. They completely understood the concept. My lovely mum did a wonderful job of arranging and sourcing flowers for tables and the reception venue with the help of family to bring it all together. She's a marvel at containers and pots, which dotted the cricket ground and marquee. Plus we still have them in the garden now!

THE CAKE | Me being a bit, let's say 'practical', decided that I'd love to make the cake. I really enjoy baking and thought I'd try my hand at sugarcraft too rather than wish I'd been able to do it myself. The Cake Craft Centre in Norwich is fantastic! With pre-warning to all that I would probably still be taping flowers at midnight and stacking the cake at the reception at 11am on the day it all went pretty well really! I loved making the cake and am really pleased I managed to do it. Plus it was delicious!

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | We quickly and easily agreed that Katherine Mager was our lady. Her natural style captured priceless images of the day. We didn't want formal photos as such and Katherine clearly understood the important memories and little details to take from our celebrations.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Rick secretly (to begin with!) bought a bike to do up as our 'wedding bike' with the help of his Dad, and we prayed for a dry day to make use of our transportation. Libby Bothway designed our invitations and order of service which definitely enabled us to 'set the scene'. Rick's mum Shelia made a million miles of pastel coloured bunting, and we had lots of jars of mixed flowers and lovely green foliage. We had delicious afternoon tea from Expresso catering in Norwich and I found loads of different paper doilies from cook shops and online. We had photographs of family weddings to remind of other special days and people who couldn't be there, and the favours were celebration badges bought from Parkinsons UK charity.

My sister Amy made gorgeous petal confetti and everyone pitched in to get things set up. Best man Ollie even treated us to some electrical installation! My dad is a woodwork extraordinaire and made flower containers with our initials, a signpost with important places on, the cake topper birds and even got a massive flag made from an online company! We borrowed outdoor games from the village fete stock, like ski ball and bean bag toss, which went down really well. Norfolk Wherry Brass Band played in the afternoon and DJ Vinny Smith later in the evening.

THE HONEYMOON | We relaxed in the café culture of Paris before taking the train to the Dordogne and melted by the pool of our gite in the hills for 2 weeks.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | So many! Not being able to stop smiling as Rick cycled us from the church to our reception. My gran being able to come to the church ceremony. Walking with my Dad and listening to his lovely speech. Dancing together with friends and family, we have some incredible movers! Our last dance which no-one knew was planned but was a great finale to one of our favourite songs.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Celebrate the things that make you special together and don't worry about the bits you don't end up doing, nobody knows!
