Girl Scout Summer Camp Wedding Inspiration

Girl Scout Summer Camp Wedding Inspiration

If you + your fiancé are kids at heart, perhaps you'll want to bring a little bit of that lightheartedness into your day! We love how the team from today's fun styled shoot, inspired by Summer Camp and Boy/Girl Scouting used that as the premise for some beautiful + unique wedding ideas. Designer, Mary Elise Rees, teamed up with photographer, Laura Harris, and florist, Flower Scout, to bring to life a classic Girl Scout Camp scene, but there was a twist - there always is! They wanted to add a modern touch to the setting, and one of the easiest, and most stylish, ways to do just that was with the bridal party fashion. Instead of traditional or matching dresses, the bridesmaids each wore olive green jumpsuits + in lieu of suits or tuxes, the groomsmen got to rock plaid dress shirts! We love that aspect just as much as we do the handmade, locally-sourced details, like the lush flowers, the arrow ceremony backdrop + the hand-painted topography-inspired napkins you'll see below!

Instead of each bridesmaid having a bouquet, Flower Scout affixed a smaller gathering of flowers to a hand-sewn sash.

Alyssa Hardy found the perfect look for the Summer Camp bride: a sweet quarter-sleeve dress + booties.

Our all-time fave detail from this editorial is that rad vintage tennis racquet backdrop!

And love this whimsical maypole, too!

That was just flat-out fun! Don't you think? Thanks so much to the talented team below for inspiring us today!
