We've got a pretty epic post to share with you guys today...

The World Exclusive of the brand new, S/S 2016 collection of Berta wedding dresses. (Yep, you guys are the first to see the lookbook, on the entire planet!)

We were lucky enough see this collection at New York Fashion Week (in the iconic Plaza Hotel!) and the show was just as dreamy and dramatic as the dresses themselves.

Berta is one of our favourite designers at Bridal Musings, because she pushes the boundaries each and every season, with gowns that are unashamedly sexy, exquisitely embellished, and designed with the most show-stopping silhouettes possible.

A mammoth collection (it was pretty hard to fit into one post!) Berta continues to lead with way with the trends for sheer panels, ornate backless gowns, and long-sleeved wedding dresses with the most beautiful detailing.

But enough of us gushing over these divine dresses, before you scroll down to gush over them yourselves, read a little more about the story behind them, from the team at Berta.

About the Collection

More grand than ever before. The new Berta collection is a regal masterpiece that is unlike anything you had ever seen in bridal before. With the clear aim of standing out, and maintaining her creations' uniqueness in this ever-changing bridal scene, Berta went further than ever before, and have created an incredibly sophisticated and avant-garde collection. This collection is characterized by the use of new tones of color - lots of nude, champagne and dark ivory. Many of which are combined with silver appliques and embellishments. In order to achieve a timeless regal look, Berta had combined many new elements in some of her creations, such as beaded boleros, tulle capes, beaded cathedral veils, and detachable dramatic tulle and lace trains. The inspiration for this collection came mainly from the 18th century in Western Europe. Those days were the aftermath of the French Revolution - a time when women started feeling more comfortable about themselves, and have started wearing more figure emphasizing clothing. Fashion was still regal-influenced, but women allowed themselves to start celebrating their femininity and natural beauty more than ever before. Berta zoomed-in on this magical era, and has drawn lots of inspiration from then. Berta is very much known for her figure hugging cuts and accentuating silhouettes, and using those styles along with such grand and regal designs have created a match made in heaven. The complexity of the cuts and the elite craftsmanship are very easily distinguished. By using the most talented artisans, Berta has created a collection in which each and every creation resembles to a custom made design. The variety of the collection, within its inner barriers, is so vast, that many will feel that a certain design was made especially for them. As if Berta made it especially according to their innermost desires.

Wow. We did say it would be epic! Aren't they just breath-taking? I love that they are the kind of dresses that could be styled to look really classic and elegant, or cool and edgy depending on the bride.

Thanks so much to Berta for sharing the exclusive first look of their new collection.

Berta wedding dresses are priced from $7800 (£5000). For more information on stockists and styles, visit the Berta website.
