We're delighted today to share the wedding of Sabrina and Federico, who married in the hills of Bologna last August. Bologna is a beautiful city in northern Italy, sitting roughly halfway between Venice and Florence, full of impressive architecture and world renowned cuisine. Sabrina and Federico fell in love with their venue, Tenuta Bonzara, the moment they stepped inside- they immediately felt it was a perfect reflection of them as a couple. Their celebration was simple but oh-so-pretty, with Federica Cavicchi was there to capture it all wonderfully.

"Federico and I had been together for eleven year when we got married. We met at a summer party; at the beginning we thought it would be a short but exciting adventure, yet unexpectedly love came instead! On August the eighth 2014, for our tenth anniversary, we exchanged love letters in front of San Luca in the Bologna hills, and Federico asked me to marry him that day. Eleven years may seem long, but we have always had the same goals- we enjoyed our time together and the little things, and every milestone seemed to arrive at the right time.

When we started looking for the location of our wedding and visited the Tenuta Bonzara, it was love at first sight for us. We felt its simple and unique natural surroundings really reflected us. As the theme we have chosen our passions and colors had to be white and Tiffany blue to reflect my dress. The message we wanted to spread to our close friends and relatives concerned light: a light not to keep hidden in the couple, but made to be emitted. This is the reason we had lanterns, and why we chose this quote: "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew, 5:14

The best moment of the day for us was after the ceremony, when we were in the car together. We were finally alone, we exchanged glances and in that look we found peace, happiness and relief."
