The Bougainvillea has bloomed, and it certainly compliments the fairy-tale budding between Sascha and Edmund. Although nontraditional, this vibrant blossom communicates the fun and quirky nature of the couple's romance, captured beautifully by Foto Asylum Photography. The young couple wed in a classic church and celebrated their union at Prosopa

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

At a new years party - he was the tallest person I had ever seen! He kept on bringing me drinks and I kept on knocking them over! We exchanged BBM pins, he brought me a sea shell from Cape Town and the rest is pretty much history. Once you meet someone that shares your love of pizza, Eminem and Sci-Fi you better pull out all the stops and get her for life!

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

We were in Cape Town, for a friend's wedding (actually). A romantic proposal was planned on top of Table Mountain... Luckily he was reminded of my fear of heights so an alternative solution was planned. After the most amazing holiday any girl could ever dream of, we went for a stroll on Sea Point's promenade... After he fiddled for quite a long time with his pocket, he dropped down on one knee - I was so amazed by my ring that I forgot to say yes! Hahaha. I OBVIOUSLY did and that was the happiest tear that ever ran down my cheek!

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Well! There were so many, as we were true to ourselves the day was exactly what we wanted. The church ceremony was my favourite part of the day. As my Dad walked me down the isle - a moment every little girl dreams of, there was Edmund, waiting for me. If you know my husband, you would know that he is generally not an emotional guy, but when he saw me, he couldn't contain himself. That was such a special moment I will carry in my heart forever!

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

It wasn't about the food, or the people, or the dress or the music - it was about us and our magical connection!

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Be true to yourself. Enjoy every moment, take a step back and enjoy the evening - time flies when you're having fun! Don't let the small stuff take away from the amazing day you have to look forward to! Surround yourself with people that understand and support your vision. Most of all - you (hopefully - LOL) only get married once - take in and thoroughly enjoy every moment!
