They say Paris is the city of love. For Aline and Jonathan, this is certainly true. The couple were engaged in Paris, France, their hotel overlooking the Eiffel tower. They met by chance, travelling around the world and when they did it was love at first sight.

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

Both of us work on private yachts that travel the world and one faithful Sunday evening we both ended up at the same restaurant lounge at a luxury resort in the Bahamas. We immediately noticed each other from across the lounge. We were both a bit shy but thanks to some social friends we ended up chatting the evening away. There is no doubt that it was love at first sight.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

Jonathan and I had a unplanned last minute business trip to Paris. We booked the tickets the one moment and a day later we were off to Paris, so I didn't expect an engagement at all.

We went to dinner and later that evening back at the hotel Jonathan invited me out on our balcony which over looked the Eiffel tower. I had my back to him while admiring the light display of the tower at night and when I turned around he was on one knee. I was so surprised that it took a minute to say yes. Afterwards we celebrated our engagement with champagne under the Eiflle tower while calling family and friends.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

There are so many moments but for me, one of the most memorable moments was when we got the call that all our guest are seated and ready for our arrival. I got overwhelmed by emotion and asked my sister-in-law to tell me a story to distract me. When we took the final turn into the venue I took my best friend's hand and we just held hands, knowing, this is it...the most exciting moment of my life is about to happen, I'm getting married to my best friend.

There are no words or quote to describe the feelings and happiness we felt on that day looking each other in the eye and saying "I Do".

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Don't over-think things and just stay true to yourself and your fiancé. It's important to remember this day is about you two and if you stay true to yourself, the wedding will reflect your personalities and love for each other.
