has, of course, always imagined you going places. They're known for their moto-ready jackets, boots and ready-to-wear, but come this next Fall and Winter they're thinking you need to really explore.

Dubbed "Polar Pioneer," the collection draws inspiration from one of history's great female polar adventurers, Edith Ronne. Jackie, as she was known, took to the Arctic back in the pre-GPS days of 1947.

In the presentation's program, Belstaff's VP of womenswear, Delphine Ninous, explained that her team thought of Jackie and others "venturing into the earth's most bleak and hard-to-reach locations in the most challenging of conditions." She noted that protection from the elements were as key as "stylistic influences derived from these lands and the animals and people that inhabit that."

The presentation was staged in the subterranean other-world of a deconsecrated church in the Marylebone neighborhood; projected images splashed the stone walls while models perched on faux icebergs.

Only planning to go as far as your favorite mountain recreation zone, or say ...to work and the pub? The collections slouchy cashmeres, cool jumpsuits, easy ankle boots and go-anywhere (or nowhere) coats are perfect for that, too.
