Stephanie and Calvin decided on a country-themed wedding to pay homage to Stephanie's hometown - the place where the pair also first met.

As a wedding photographer, Stephanie has had her fair share of wedding experiences, so when it came time for her big day she worked hard to make sure it was as personal as possible. "One of the biggest challenges for me was to ensure I didn't feel as though I was at someone else's wedding," she says. "We had my grandma read scripture from my late grandpa's bible, we wrote our own vows, our bridal party prayed for us, and my dog was a flower girl. It was perfect!"

The one-of-a-kind details were also Stephanie's favourite parts of the reception. Stephanie notes that the cake, designed by one of her friends, was a particular standout. "It was a dark chocolate naked cake with white cream cheese icing," she explains. "Calvin is a hunter and I love the woodsy look so we had a gold stag and doe figurine on top with succulents scattered on the three layers."

All in all, the pair says their day flowed perfectly from beginning to end. "It was so great to be with close friends and family that we haven't seen in years!" Stephanie says. "It was everything I could have hoped for."
