To say we're beyond excited about today's post, is an understatement.

One, we're celebrating the launch of the stunning Wonder by Jenny Packham Collection exclusively at David's Bridal - aka one of the most popular bridal designers among our readers, joining forces with one of the biggest wedding dress brands on the planet. (It's a big deal!)

And two, we got to chat with the fabulous Jenny Packham herself!

Like we said, the word excitement doesn't quite come close...

We first clapped eyes on the Wonder by Jenny Packham collection way back in October, when we were treated to a sneak preview at New York Bridal Fashion Week. (Jenny herself was there, we were pretty starstruck!)

And true to Jenny Packham's signature style, the gowns were stylish, elegant, flattering, and gave a glamorous nod to a bygone era.

But what's so exciting about this collaboration with David's Bridal, is that her gowns and accessories are more affordable than ever, and available both in stores and online.

With prices starting from £950/$900, and a vast selection of petite and plus sizes (US sizes 0-26) available, we're delighted to be able to share a collection as beautiful as this one, that's accessible to all.

About the Collection

With nine beautiful bridal gowns, the Wonder collection is laced with Jenny Packham's trademark sparkling embellishment and romantic silhouettes - these dresses fall so beautifully!

Along with the wedding dresses, there are also six bridesmaid styles (in 10 dreamy hues), four mother of the bride dresses, two flower girl dresses and lots of fab veils and accessories to make up the full collection.

As a red carpet favourite, (Taylor Swift, Kate Winslet, Angelina Jolie and The Duchess of Cambridge are all fans!) your mum and your girls will feel like superstars in these stunning gowns.

Shopping at David's Bridal couldn't be easier too.

With over 300 stores across the US, Canada, UK and Puerto Rico, along with their great US and UK websites, you can work with one of their experienced bridal consultants to help find your dream dress - and the perfect accessories to polish off your look.

We Chat All Things Wedding Dresses with Jenny Packham

So why have we been telling you all about this collection, when we can let the talented lady behind it tell you herself!

We chatted to Jenny Packham about her inspiration behind Wonder, whether it's better to go cool or classic on your big day, and who she thinks is the most iconic bride of all time...

What was your inspiration behind the Wonder Collection? The debut collection is inspired the 'Belle Époque' era of the early 20th Century. It is a collection of romantically soft, feminine designs that encapsulate the spirit of Edwardian style at a time when society abandoned corsets and Art Nouveau was born. The styles are very feminine with vintage inspired beading and delicate understated embellishments. Flowing silhouettes that are evocative of that Edwardian era complement more contemporary structured shapes, elegantly exposed backs and geometric embellishments for a very modern bride. Why did you decide to join forces with David's Bridal? Designing a collection with David's Bridal has enabled us to produce gowns at a more affordable price point and therefore reach a larger global audience, which is wonderful. What kind of bride will be drawn to this collection? I believe the collection speaks to a bride who is feminine, elegant and contemporary. The Wonder by Jenny Packham bride is looking for a relaxed, unstructured gown that makes her feel confident and beautiful. What fabrics and textures did you work with to create Wonder? Wonder by Jenny Packham comprises nine wedding gowns and six bridesmaid styles in addition to an edit of mother of the bride and flower girl dresses. The collection features flowing chiffon skirts, soft crepe gowns and delicate lace detailing adorned with intricate crystal embellishments in soft hues of ivory and barley.

Your dresses are so popular with our real brides, how do you strike that balance between stylised yet wearable designs? I have always aspired to create something truly special and beautiful that the bride feels confident when wearing - this is always at the forefront of my design process and my greatest challenge. I love the process of designing a bridal collection from sourcing inspiration to selecting fabrics and embellishments. Are there any celebrities or women in history you look to for style inspiration? Elizabeth Taylor on her wedding day to Richard Burton - she wore a canary yellow dress, accessorising with white flowers in her braided hair. What's your Number One piece of style advice for brides? Choosing your wedding gown should be a fun experience! There is an amazing choice of dresses with an array of styles and silhouettes, so try lots of different dresses until you find the one that makes you feel fabulous. Should brides look to trends or keep their style timeless on their wedding day? I think it is a very personal choice - if you feel great and look happy then you will always reflect on the day with fond memories.

Have you any advice for accessorising your gowns from the Wonder collection? I am a firm believer that accessories should complement your gown rather than compete with it. Delicate accessories work well with a bigger dress while statement jewellery can add instant glamour to a simpler silhouette.

It's always so lovely to hear about the inspiration behind a collection, especially when it's as historic and romantic as the Belle Epoque.

And how fabulous are those dresses and accessories - I love the black sequins for a mother of the bride, and as for the bridal styles, it's hard to pick a favourite, but the one with the sheer, embellished sleeves might be it!
