About the Shoot

I am such a huge fan of elopements and find them incredibly romantic. Of course I love all the beautiful details that go into a traditional wedding celebration, but elopements can also be incredibly beautiful and focus solely on what a wedding is truly about: love and the promise to spend your lives together. I recently traveled to the south of France with an amazing team of creatives and the sweetest couple, Maria & Alon. Organized by Josephine from Beautiful Occasions, our elopement was inspired by Kiera Knightley's laid back, yet oh so chic, city hall wedding style in the south of France a few years back. She wore a short dress which she already owned (Chanel, of course!!) and flats. I love Maria's chic and simple low ponytail, which is a look I think more brides should consider for their wedding day! The wedding car is a really typical car in Saint Tropez and a fun non-traditional wedding ride. We imagined them tying the knot just the two of them, and then inviting a few best friends over for a fabulous dinner party afterwards. Our bride wore an on trend cropped top and skirt from designer ambacherVIDIC, paired with fun blue platforms as her something blue.

Oh my goodness, it's all so gorgeous. That table styling and stationery are just beautiful. I love the pretty cropped dress too, with the pony tail and peonies - so chic.

The idea of scooting off on a Vespa after your ceremony has always appealed to me, though perhaps not so practical in a long gown - another reason to opt for a short wedding dress.
