There is something very special about this warm, intimate wedding. Following a truly tiny ceremony (think two human witnesses, plus some beloved fur babies), this dapper groom and his joyful, relaxed bride celebrated their marriage with an elegant feast for their closest friends and family. Seated together at one long table with lush greenery and filled with tapered candles, elegant chandeliers glowed overhead as festivities continued into the night. Proof that good things come in small packages.

"We decided to have a very quiet, private little ceremony to ourselves. We got married at the same spot where Ryan proposed, in our dining room. Our close friend Devin married us in front of our dogs and cat and my sister".

What was your favorite thing about your wedding ceremony? As much as we both totally understand wanting to share the ceremony with all of your loved ones, we loved the fact that it was just between us. Something for just us to share. Nobody needs to see all that sappy stuff, and Jessi weeping!

Says bride Jessi, "a really long dinner party with our absolute favorite people" was always going to be their choice for their reception. Their choice of venue, the Long Room at McCrady's, was equally personal. Ryan had worked there in the past and close friends of the couple continue to, so the meal was cooked and drinks were poured by people the couple love.

This loving sense of community extended to each element of their wedding. "Every person involved, from our families, to our guests, from the florist, to the invitation designer, to the chef, to the people pouring the wine and drinks, to the baker of the cake, and to the photographer, was someone we would want to sit at a table and share a meal with. And we did!"

What type of cake or dessert did you serve? The cake was made by our good friend Amy from the Cakefarmer. It was a three tier, naked cake. A vanilla cake with white chocolate buttercream frosting, and raspberry filling.

Asked about their inspiration for the wedding, the couple explained "we were hoping the medieval vibe would encourage people to eat with their hands and drink 'til they sang songs to make their ancestors proud!" They sourced antique candelabras and dear sheds to add to the sense of their glorious feast, and added an enormous garland of greens from Flowershop that ran the entire length of the table.

What was your favorite moment or part of the reception? Besides ALL of it? Probably the speeches. Something we really were not sure we were going to ask of people. But we did, and the speeches were something that I think everyone remembers so well. They were articulate and so personal and Jessi definitely cried through all of them! Jessi's sister gave a speech that we think really set the tone of the whole party. Laugh! Cry! Make fun of us!

What advice do you have for other couples in the midst of planning a wedding? Don't let any of the stuff that you think matters, matter. Because at the end of that day, it won't. If one of your guests is bringing a date you don't like, who cares? If things are running late, have another glass of champagne! It all happens so fast, don't let anything that doesn't directly have to do with you two affect your day.

If you had it to do over again, is there anything you would do differently? Hire a planner! It's so much work! And extend it for three days, because it was so much fun!
