For Judy + Prem, their goal for their big day was to combine their two unique heritages (hers, Taiwanese + his, Indian) into one sophisticated wedding celebration full of rich color and unique design elements. To pull that off, they entrusted the talented Kathryn of The Nouveau Romantics for the day's event design, planning + florals - and Kathryn carefully filled the setting at Brazos Hall in Austin, Texas with saturated red hues to bring vibrant visual interest, paired with subtler orange, cream, and metallic tones to help soften the dark, moody space.

INLOVE with all the red! So bold + captivating...

Kathryn, of The Nouveau Romantics tells us, Keeping in line with traditional Indian wedding customs, Prem arrived at the ceremony riding a white horse in a baraat, a traditional groom's procession, surrounded by musicians, family, and friends.

The traditional Hindu wedding ceremony included rose petals for tossing, auspicious liquids, such as milk, honey, and ghee (clarified butter), puffed rice to be offered to the gods through the sacred fire, coconuts, and an image of the deity Ganesh.

The dramatic reception lighting + metallic touches incorporated into the modern, industrial space at Brazos Hall set the perfect stage for a lively evening filled with good food + fun vibes.
