If you've ever felt even a little unsure about the yearly schedule of fashion's seasons, and how they work with each other, keep reading. We're about to shed some light on that via new-to-SPACE designer.

The highly lauded Brit designer's afternoon presentation gives us a great opportunity to catch up on the interplay of the big fall and spring reveals, and the in-between seasons of resort and pre-fall. And, of course, to share some fresh-off-the-runway images to illustrate it all.

Let's call the J.W.Anderson looks in our current fall edit Point A, and let's call the looks in this LFW lookbook Point C. The skirts and tops we're expecting for our resort season-named for that time of year when, traditionally speaking, fashion consumers would get away from the urban environment and relocate somewhere fabulous for the holidays-are Point B.

What we need to establish first is the continuum. Let's look at Jonathan (the W stands for William) in brief:

• sponsored by London's NEWGEN committee (the British version of the CFDA) in 2010
• created a collection for Topshop in 2012 that sold out faster than you can say "Topman"
• was installed as creative director for white-hot brand Loewe in 2013
• named both women's wear and menswear designer of the year at the British Fashion Awards in 2015

Through it all-despite it all-he can be counted on for follow-through. His look is distinctive, and he seems to be something of a showman. His clothes, while totally wearable and thoroughly real, are not quiet.

Next, let's make sure we're on the same page regarding the industry's show schedule. While fall and spring are big Fashion Week runway events, the bridge seasons are shown quietly in presentation formats or via official photographs.

Which brings us to today's looks. Designers love to cut loose and create in a larger-than-life way for their main stage events; it's their time to get under the big lights and shine. Wouldn't you do the same?

All of which is just to say: If the knits and booties at Point A appeal to you, and if Point C's three-dimensional constructed silhouettes inspire you, just you wait 'til Point B comes in strong at SPACE. We'll look for J.W.Anderson resort arrivals to hit around the time Paris Fashion Week ends.
