Moody Winter Floral Centerpieces from McKenzie Powell

Moody Winter Floral Centerpieces from McKenzie Powell

via

As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, we love seeing moody tones and elegant textures stand out in seasonal floral arrangements. Don't these winter floral centerpieces from McKenzie Powell look like something out of a painting? Paired with romantic tapered candles and rich velvet linens, they are absolutely perfect for this time of year.

This arrangement includes persimmons, porcelain vine, windflower, dahlias and forget-me-not, as well as various fall foliage foraged from McKenzie's garden.

Doesn't this image look like a painting?!

McKenzie was inspired by the way the flowers in her garden changed with the season. As the weather got colder, her porcelain vine plant turned from green to yellow to deep purple to various shades of blue - a natural starting point for the rest of her design and color palette.
