Neil and Carmen's La Cigale Wedding - Wedding Friends

Oh my, another gorgeous wedding! Today we are sharing the work of Shaula Greyvenstein. We just love her unique lace two piece wedding dress, and the simple, gold jewellery that went with it. The pop of colour the flowers brings to the décor is just as pretty.

Congratulations on your wedding Neil and Carmen!

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

We met on Valentines day in Qatar!

After dinner with my girlfriends, we decided to go grab a drink and since it was Valentine's day the place we went to wasn't very busy. It was our table and Neil and his boys table at the bar. Neil at that point had just moved to Qatar to start a new teaching job, so he came over to our table with his friends to ask us what there is to do here. We ended up speaking the whole night and exchanged numbers. We met up the weekend and haven't stopped since!

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

We were traveling to Beirut for a wedding and it was Neil's first time going there, he contacted so many people to try to plan the perfect day of activities and ending it with proposing. He didn't tell me much other than he planned a fun day for us.

After our first spot, our car rental started acting up and eventually breaking down. We end up in a pretty deserted hillside spot, few hours out of the city with no one around us other than a bunch of sheep and the shepherd. The spot was beautiful, wasn't what he had planned but I wouldn't have had it any other way.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Taking our wedding photo's with all our favourite people, looking sharp in our suits and dresses and then BAM out of nowhere comes the craziest storm and we all end up looking like soaked puppies! We couldn't help but laugh throughout the photo shoot from how cold we were and how soaked we got! Safe to say, we didn't leave looking as sharp as when we got there...

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

So much rain, so much laughter, so many happy tears and so many loved ones to share it with.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Enjoy every second of it, it really does end so fast. A lot of things will not go as planned but that's okay. No one really is going to notice the small details like you will, so whatever happens, do NOT let it ruin your day or get you upset, simply laugh it of and enjoy marrying your soul mate.
