Festival Brides readers, meet Laura DeBourde Photography....

Hellooo! I'm Laura and I live in Kent, just on the cusp of South East London with my boyfriend Simon and our dog Holly. I live for holidays and love travelling. The number one place on my bucket list to visit is New Zealand and naturally, I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan! My favourite season is Autumn and there's nothing I love more than wearing snuggly jumpers and curling up watching some films or Netflix. We're usually binge watching something and some of my fave shows, to mention a few are The US Office, Breaking Bad, Community, Sherlock, Friends and yes I may have a bit of a guilty pleasure for... oh dear, here goes... anything vampire TV related. Sshh! They're addictive OK?

Probably Austin City Limits or Coachella. The line ups for both are always really awesome, and I know Coachella is kind of the 'hipster' festival to go to at the moment but I have always wanted to go!

I was studying photography at uni when a colleague and friend of mine, Kelly, asked if I would come along to do some photos for her wedding, I said yes absolutely and I was excited as I'd only been to my Dad's wedding when I was about 5 and I couldn't remember much of it! Although I must say that I had never really thought about pursuing weddings as a career as I was under the impression that all wedding photography was really cheesy, awkward and posed. I photographed Kelly's wedding and fell head over heels in love with weddings. It was just such a brilliant day. It was happy, emotional, (yes I may have cried and I cry at a fair few weddings, not gonna lie) and I felt really ecstatic and it was such a privilege to be a part of their day. From that moment on I couldn't get weddings out of my head and I dropped out of uni to come home and set up my own wedding photography business.

I love photographing weddings in a happy, relaxed, natural and fun way! I work in an unobtrusive manner, I love capturing candid moments and that's what I really live for. All of my photos are bright and vibrant. I love to mingle in and with me there's no awkward posing or cheesiness, instead just capturing moments laughter and fun that happens on a wedding day, exactly as it happened!

One of the best parts for me is the happy buzz I get on the way home from a wedding. It's indescribable! I am just so happy, I've usually got the music on in the car loud and I'm singing and dancing because I've just had the best day. It's amazing and touching that people let me be a part of their day and entrust me to capture their memories. Memories have always been incredibly important to me, I've got tons of boxes with old concert ticket stubs, wristbands and photos! I spend quite a bit of time looking through photos and I love how they just take me back to that moment. Being able to give that to people for one of the most important days of their lives is incredible. I love all of the places I get to travel to, people I get to meet and the new friends I get to make. So many of my couples still keep in touch with me and that's really awesome.

With me you can always count on my natural, relaxed and fun style, as well as someone who will be a helping friend along the way who is super excited about your day! You want someone to capture moments as they happen and are really looking forward to having a brilliant knees up with all your family and friends. If this sounds like you. I'd love to hear from you!
