Happy Monday Dotties! Today the patterned people are getting together for a recipe testing day and lunch, I am rather excited as I love when we're all together! It's a good start to what I already know is going to be an awesome week!

How exciting it is that there is a whole new year to make plans and see them come to reality. If your wedding is towards the end of the year or even in 2018, you have a blank slate on which to create the wedding that most truly reflects who you are. What is important to you, what can you leave out, how do you want your wedding to feel? Come on over and check out Ms Polka Dot's Directory and we're sure you'll find the perfect vendor just for you. We have Cakes, we have Catering, we have Flowers and Food Trucks - we even have Jewellery and Master of Ceremonies! We have so many vendors that we're sure that you'll find your perfect match who understands your wedding vision.

Check out Ms Polka Dot's Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!

There's a great deal of trust that comes with selecting your wedding photographer. You need to connect, you need to know that they will take images of your wedding that you'll love for a lifetime. For Ane, of Ane Hagen Photography, the rewards come in being allowed into your wedding day to document, to be a fly on the wall, to capture all the emotions that make up the day. That honour in itself is a humbling experience, but capturing the human spirit is what Ane really loves!

We asked Ane of Ane Hagen Photography five questions in five minutes:

What is your favourite after five drink?

A glass of shiraz.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Margaret River (WA).

Favourite restaurant?

The Mantle (Fremantle WA).

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Egg & bacon.

Your favourite wedding story?

There are so many but the most unique was an elopement I shot in East Fremantle. It was so secret even their kids didn't know they were getting married. The ceremony lasted 15 minutes and the only people there were the celebrant, the restaurant manager and me. The manager and I doubled as witnesses. The lovers and I went off for a beautiful photo shoot by the Swan River before they went off for a romantic dinner for two. I felt very honoured to be allowed to document their most intimate wedding.
