As a birthday gift, Pascal planned to take Sarah to the ballet. But that wasn't the only gift she would receive that night. As soon as Sarah arrived home to get ready for their night out, she found Pascal on one knee. "His words were short, sweet and simple-exactly who he is. It was a perfect, private moment," Sarah recalls. "We celebrated with a delicious fancy meal, but fell asleep at the ballet!"

Artistically inclined, Sarah knew she wanted to put her own personal touch on her wedding details. "Our planner suggested DIY projects I could work on since I love crafting," Sarah explains. Together Sarah and Pascal crafted their centrepieces, which she describes as a labour of love. "We cut the circles with a jigsaw, and my mom and I made the various string-art designs," she adds.

Walking down the aisle was a moment that Sarah will never forget. "I really started to get nervous and hyperventilate about five minutes before the ceremony started," Sarah shares. "But the second I saw Pascal and the smiling faces of all our guests, I was immediately calm and in awe of what we were about to do."

Her Maggie Sottero dress made dancing during the reception easy. "When I tried it on, the first thing I said was, 'It's too much,' but I couldn't take it off," Sarah says. "I felt so beautiful in that dress. The lady who did my alterations put in 10 bustle points so I could dance in it all night!"
