Some of the most advanced style in Milan this week came via the makeup and hair on the runway. While there were still shows that embraced the no-makeup makeup trend that has been prevalent in recent seasons, this is Italy, and glamor has rarely been barefaced on the Boot.

We've rounded up some of the coolest, prettiest and most translatable trends we saw on the catwalk, plus picked out the tools to achieve the looks. Be it neon lashes, '60s bouffants, primary colored highlights or iridescent eyes, these bold beauty techniques are worth a try.

Eye-popping Color

Like an acid bath of colors, psychedelic sixties tunics, jumpsuits and pantsuits stalked the Emilio Pucci runway. As a prelude to the designs featuring the house's signature prints, lime green, hot pink and orange creations beset with fringe and sequins kicked off the show. The models in these looks wore neon mascara in a complementary color on otherwise stark faces. To try this technicolor trick, wear a monochromatic outfit and apply a brightly colored mascara in a shade that offsets it. Little M·A·C Zoom Lash Mascara and butter London ElectraLash color amplifying mascara both offer some bold hues.

Cluster Lashes

MSGM offered another fun way to amp up your lashes. The models there wore obvious fake cluster lashes with a thick application of mascara. To achieve this innocent but impactful look, apply false lashes in groups along the top and bottom lash lines. Urban Decay's New Urban Lashes in Boheme will achieve this look. Once you've affixed the lashes, apply a layer of volume enhancing mascara like Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Instant Full Volume mascara.

Soft Plaits

At Alberta Ferretti, romance ruled the runway. Messy hair braids collected the models' locks into soft frames around the face. It's not a complicated hairstyle, fortunately, but so lovely. To get this look, first apply a texturizer like Oribe Après Beach to create tousled waves, then start a loose braid at the back of your head.

Smoldering Eye

Also at Alberta Ferretti: what looked like another strong smokey eye, actually had a bit of a spark. In the center of the eyelid, a touch of red shadow gave this gorgeous eye a surprising element. To get this look, use the CHANEL LES 4 OMBRES Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow palette in Tisse Vendome.

Hair-Raising Beauty

Jeremy Scott's theme for his Moschino Fall 2017 collection was rubbish, literally. Models wore garb cleverly devised from fake trash. To counter the garbage glam of the clothes, helmet like bouffants and perfectly shaped brows elevated the style. To get a perfectly arched brow, use Clarins Pro Palette Eyebrow Kit.

Drybar offers any number of products to tease your hair to new heights. Begin by applying the Triple Sec 3-in-1 Texturizer to add volume and lift. Tease the hair with a brush or a comb, then spray Texas Tea Volumizing Hair Spray to maintain you lift.

High Shine

At Gucci, Alessandro Michele's over-the-top embellishment usually met with nearly nude faces-with a few exceptions, one included a cat mask. However, just as the designer can't resist embroidering or bejeweling his already ornate designs, several of his models wore sparkly makeup. To get glitter lips, like the look on the left, apply Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics glitter over a base of gloss. To achieve the iridescent eye on the right, use a selection of Clarins Ombré Iridescente Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadows.

Colorful Chunks

Chunky, primary hued highlights provided a punky touch to Donatello Versace 's urban wear at her Milan show. Blue, red or yellow pieces weaved through the models hair, playing off the bold tones in clothes.

Furthering the linear accents in the show, a strongly angled black eyeliner created a thick lid on the models. To get this look, you can use any number of liquid liners. One that works particularly well for varying thicknesses is the Chosungah 22 Ink Jet Black Tatt Liquid Eyeliner. If you prefer a gel pen, M·A·C Rebeleyes Gel Eyeliner also goes on smooth enough to layer into a solid bar for a strong stare.

Big Bang

Sweetness in Pierrot ruffled collars, berets and pretty prints graced the primarily red, white and black runway at Emporio Armani. Almost every model had feathery fringe à la Birkin framing lightly powdered faces. A pearly liner gave their doe eyes a dewy glisten. Berry lips finished this sophisticated yet innocent look. To get this beauty, create a base with Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Compact foundation. Try Estée Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil in Pearl along the top and bottom lash lines. Add Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Lip Stain in Attitude for a pleasing, reddish pink pout.
