For Rachelle and Keith, who both love nature, an outdoor wedding ceremony was always what they envisioned. The Evergreen Village proved to be the ideal venue. "We wanted to match the wooden decor, so we were inspired to have a garden party theme," Rachelle shares. Birchwood details, which were added to the guestbook table and used as centrepieces, were inspired by a cabin that Rachelle's family used to own at Moose Lake. The couple chose a pastel colour palette with accents of sage green, coral pink, ivory and gold and champagne.

During the ceremony, the commissioner had Rachelle and Keith create a "fight box," to open on the couple's five-year anniversary. They wrote love letters to each other and chose a beverage to place in a box, which was then nailed shut. "Should our marriage be in trouble before five years, we are to open the box, have a drink and read our love letters to each other," Rachelle explains.

Rachelle says was walking down the aisle was one of her favourite parts of the day. "The energy was unreal," Rachelle remarks. "Cat Jahnke was singing beautifully as I approached Keith. I could feel overall joy and emotion resonating from all our friends and family."
