Decorating A Celebration Cake

Decorating a traditional Norwegian celebration cake with American loops. Our family uses the cake as a wedding "decoration". Weddings in our family still have American-style wedding cakes. The Norwegian cake is used in recognition of the Norwegian decent of the bride or groom. For her latest cake, my wife also made small cookies from the dough used for the rings in the Norwegian cake so people could taste the flavor (almond) of the cake.
