La Scarzuola Architectural Park in Umbria, Italy (by colorama65). Founded 1218 by St. Francis of Assisi as a Franciscan convent was bought by Milanese architect Thomas Buzzi in 1958. Over the next 20 years he created an "ideal city" beside the convent (the sacred city), envisaged as a "theatrical machine" (the profane city) in a style based on Francesco Colonna's 1499 designs that includes 7 theatres, an Acropolis, multiple staircases, monuments, monsters & more. #italy
