Vintage sapphire and diamond engagement ring. This circa 1940s white gold ring is set with a round cut blue sapphire in the centre with a smaller eight cut diamond to either side. The sapphire is set in a fluted style setting, very typical of engagement rings toward the mid 20th century. The shape of the setting nicely frames the sapphire which is set higher than the diamonds.
