BEAUTIFUL DESTINATIONS

Walk across the psychedelic, undulating arches of the Metropol Parasol, known locally as las setas (the mushrooms) and said to be the world’s largest wooden structure. Designed by German architect Jürgen Mayer-Hermann as a giant sunshade, the structure’s 30m pillars stand in Seville’s central district. During construction, Roman ruins were discovered under the car park that was there and were cleverly incorporated into the building. Las setas also house a museum, the local neighborhood market, a café, and a concert space. (
