Q: Why do we have an online shop with a starter kit for beginners & other curated calligraphy supplies? A: Because we wanted to take the guesswork out of it for beginners by offering a kit with supplies that we *know* work well together & detailed, down-to-earth instructions on how to use them, so as many people as possible can succeed with this art that I love so much. - It’s that simple. Sourcing & storing physical product, running the online shop/listings/photos/tech, shipping, troubleshooting package losses or incorrect shipments, etc isn’t glamorous, but we’ve kept the online shop so that fellow calligraphers have a source to purchase supplies that they can count on, without having to troubleshoot with low quality ink or low quality paper. We created online courses that streamline the information you need to learn the art (the starter kit + video tutorial) & then continue with direct, meaningful growth in your skills (beyond beginner guide for letter consistency/developing a cohesive alphabet + letter connections & our 5-11 week Calligraphy Practice Plan to truly hone your skills & pen control overall).
