These aren’t the most Insta-worthy photos, and just six months ago I wouldn’t have even taken them, let alone posted them on my grid. But if I’ve realised one thing during this past shitty year it’s that only taking photos to be “Insta worthy” or just sharing photos that will get likes is about the most stupid fucking thing ever. I’ve had lots of messages about how my dad is doing/ how I’m coping etc and I’ll be honest, its hard for me to really talk about it so mostly, I haven’t been replying. Please don’t take it personally, and I appreciate the thoughts and messages so much, it’s just a lot for me to mentally cope with having to get into one on one conversations about it. I hope you understand. Short version is I’m fine, I have an amazing network of support around me. The chemo/ immunotherapy is kicking his arse but he’s doing OK too. Love you dad, even if you did smoosh my eye into a weird shape with your kisses.
