My business mentor gave me the best advice yesterday. Fall down 7 times. Stand up 8. I can’t shake this truth. A hard pill to swallow when it’s so much easier to just give up or when we want to take the easier route. Can you relate to this? No one likes to talk about how many times they failed. But can you imagine how we would be if we did share and were more open about? I think we would have more compassion for each other. I would compare this journey to the creative process. The process is messy. It’s murky and sometimes painful. We repeat patterns until we see clarity and we have a creative breakthrough. All the “ugh” you have to go through and uproot before you get to that one a-ha moment. It’s hard. But worth it. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about the journey, the effort. If we implemented more of this mindset into our life. Every single day. I can see how real change can happen. Just as long as we remember why we started in the first place. “Decide the type of person you want to be.
