The day before our wedding just happened to be the Fourth of July. Our family and friends were such good sports about giving up their holiday to spend time with us. At 5:00 PM we headed to the Inne of the Abington to meet with our venue's day-of coordinator, Courtney.

Dear The Bridal Guru, I am been talking to various wedding coordinators. I feel I need someone to help me and to coordinate all the vendors and assist me in my planning. Most are priced about the same. But one coordinator was about half the price of the others.

If you're in the mood for GIANT crepe paper flower bouquets, a sweet and impromptu first look, and a couple super obviously and deliriously in love, then this wedding is your jam. Oh, and this bride's experience with a day-of coordinator (who we know well!), is invaluable.

Last week we had the fun opportunity to meet with our florist/day-of coordinator for the first time. We are working with Beth of Wild Flowers, Inc. She was listed as a suggested vendor by our venue, and I was really excited that she offered month-of coordination packages in addition to floral services.

It's a good practice to rehearse your wedding ceremony before the fact, so everyone knows what to do. Our officiant and coordinator recommended it (and included it in their fees), so we decided to hold a rehearsal for our bridal party the day before the wedding.

Katie and Chris just happen to be one of those incredible couples that are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. Katie spent years working as Display Coordinator at Anthropologie, so you can just imagine that her wedding would be something special - and you'd be right!

When Ashley brought her love of the color pink and extensive milk glass collection to coordinator Leigh Pearce, they decided to create a Southern styled vintage milk glass wedding. Fabulous, right!? This day was exceptionally captured by Anna Paschal Photography!

The Blogcademy, the blogging and business workshop I co-run, recently advertised for an events coordinator. I've never hired anyone before (I don't think my husband counts, he was a bit of a shoo-in!) or had to go through job applications, so this was actually a massive learning experience for me too.

This glamorous vintage wedding was a Gatsby styled surprise for the bride and groom. This adorable couple left the planning up to their fabulous coordinator, When Pigs Fly Events, who filled their day with vintage 1920′s themed decor and even a secret speakeasy for the after reception party! We're in the final countdown to wedding day and though I'm getting a lot of help from our day of coordinator with vendors and timelines, there were still some small last minute projects on my plate: No Seating Plan Signage I've had this gigantic framed cork board for a long time.

So, when we last left off, the wedding was basically planned, but I didn't have locations confirmed for anything. I started reaching out to the wedding coordinator after Christmas to try to get these details nailed down. And...I never got any responses back to my emails.

There's a common perception among engaged couples who don't have a full-service wedding planner that they only need help the day of the wedding. What these couples don't realize: It's critical that their coordinator become involved at least one month before the wedding in order for their day to run seamlessly.
