When wedding photographer Trish Barker emailed me back in October telling me she'd just shot Gene Simmons' vow renewal and asked if would I like to feature it, well, I just about died. To say this is the ultimate Rock n Roll wedding is a massive understatement.

When Belle Gardens put out a call for couples willing to elope or renew their vows for a beautiful wintery shoot they found Chelsea and Colton, married for 3 years but with quite a wedding story. When Chelsea's mom ended up in the Intensive Care Unit on the night before their big day it set a severe damper on their wedding.

Jana and Denis were married in 2006, just two months after meeting. With the bride being Brazilian and the groom American, there were lots of complications post-wedding. When it was all finally sorted out they travelled to Chile to renew their vows, just the two of them.

When I first started publishing Premier Bride of Mississippi, fifteen years ago, Peter Christian & Crew were one of my first advertisers. I am happy to say, they still are a huge part of Premier Bride and The Premier Bridal Show.

Scruggs Photography Mimi's Bridal in Laurel, MS is a true Horatio Alger story. This family business began in a small fabric store and is now one of Mississippi's largest and best bridal stores. Certainly, Mimi's Bridal is the largest bridal store in the Pine Belt and Southeast Mississippi.

When I was younger, my family always made fun of me for being nosey. If something was lost, they'd ask me where it was and I always knew. Being the youngest, I didn't want to be left out so I made sure to poke my nose everywhere it wasn't supposed to be.

When I got married in 2012, my wife and I wrote our own vows. It is the vogue thing to do these days. What I soon learned is that the writing of one's vows can be intimidating and extremely personal.
