Los Angeles Industrial Wedding: Kari + Jaime

Los Angeles Industrial Wedding: Kari + Jaime

via

From the get-go, Kari + Jaime wanted to make sure their industrial LA wedding would be a super fun party, filled with lots of little details that were reflective of their life together! After a gorgeous ceremony underneath a vine-covered canopy, guests showered the newlyweds with confetti (as a nod to one of Jaime’s family traditions) and then feasted on dinner from two of the couple’s favorite food trucks. With the help of family and friends, Kari + Jaime were able to handcraft almost every single design element, giving the celebration a meaningful + personal feel. Here’s a bit more from Kari about all the love that went into their day:

My brother and I (but mostly my brother!) made the LOVE marquee signs out of foam board and poster board. My sisters made the menu, Instagram sign, photobooth and props. All the rest of the paper goods were designed by me and printed at my work! My mother-in-law was so sweet to make me the loveliest veil I have ever seen. My mom baked her amazing homemade cookies to serve with the coffee and potted beautiful succulent arrangements to compliment the venue. In short, the inspiration was that everything had to be connected to our life and to our family and friends.

Thanks so much to Chaffin Cade Photography for sending this fun wedding our way and big congrats to Kari + Jaime!

Majorly in love with Kari’s stunning bouquet by Seed Floral – and wait until you see the concrete blocks and glitter dipped gold bottles, filled with beautiful blooms, decorating the reception tables!

Kari: Seeing my husband's face as I was walking down the aisle. His face was so full of emotion; I’ll never forget that moment.

Jaime: Waiting at the altar for Kari to arrive and being absolutely consumed by nerves and emotions.

Processional: Planetarium Suite – Chris Lennertz

Recessional: Bibio – Lovers Carvings

First Dance: Little Wonders – Rob Thomas

Isn’t Studio 1342 such a rad venue?! This awesome hubcap wall is a perfect spot for some fun portraits…

When it came to the favors, we wanted to give our guests something they could use and something we love. There’s this game we love playing called Michigan Rummy. It’s a family game my grandma taught me — and in turn, I taught Jaime and his family. Every time we have family gatherings we end up playing. Jaime took the time to write out the rules of the game and we gifted guests with a deck of cards with the rules to play!

It’s so easy to get really wrapped up in what your wedding is going to look like, or what other people will think. I was really scared to have a food truck wedding –thinking about my guests waiting in line for food made me feel terrible! Just remember to relax and stick with your gut. In the end it’s about you and your fiancé; make the day reflect you and enjoy!
