Donny Osmond seems like one to play by the rules, but back in the day, the singer had no problem breaking the unspoken guy code when he "stole" his brother's girl.

In an interview with HuffPost Live, Osmond looked back to 1976, when he and his brother, Jay, took their dates to an Elton John concert in Salt Lake City.

"I vividly remember when Elton sat down to sing 'Your Song,' I looked over at my brother and his date, and I thought to myself, 'Someday, I'm going to marry my brother's date,'" Osmond said.

Osmond was so determined to get with the "cute cheerleader," he didn't even consult his brother before making his move.

"I just called her up and said, 'Hey, do you wanna go out with me now?'" he told host Nancy Redd on Tuesday. "She turned me down. So the chase was on."

After multiple tries, she eventually agreed to go out with Osmond, and after three and a half years of dating, the couple got hitched.
