Romantic Provencal Wedding Inspiration

Romantic Provencal Wedding Inspiration

I have the best way to start the week, as I share the Romantic Provencal Wedding Inspiration from TeamAmour 2. At the start of September last year, myself and TeamAmour 2 headed to Provence and more specifically the idyllic Belfonds estate, to create a magically wedding inspirational shoot full of romance and beauty.

TeamAmour 2 included the beautiful film photography of Cat Hepple, hair and make up by Victoria Farr and not forgetting the wonderful Emma from Story of Your Day (head to the bottom of the post to see Emma's film). Plus joining TeamAmour 2 for our Provencal adventure Laura Dova Weddings, who assisted me in planning the shoots and the super creative Vanessa from D'amour et de Déco who is a decor genius!

Our shoot was set in the wonderful grounds of Chateau Belfonds, a picture perfect Provencal retreat, complete with magnificent entrance archway, thought-provoking orchard, charming farmhouse inspired chateau - all set amongst the contrasting background of olive groves and mountain peaks.

I wanted to create a shoot that was inspired by the warm Provencal light and captured the tranquil essence of the Provencal countryside.

Traditional French weddings come in two parts, the civil ceremony and the wedding celebrations - so I had fun playing with two bridal ensembles. The first being a combination of bridal wear and high street, all teamed with statement accessories.

For the Civil Ceremony, and the fashion forward bride, we showcased two two-piece bridal outfits: a low-waisted skirt by French designer Laure de Sagazan paired with either a stomach-skimming high street fashion top or a glamorous gold top.

For the main wedding celebrations amongst the olive groves, our bride shone in a gold inspired Truvelle creation with a layered chiffon skirt that billowed in the Provençal breeze. The culinary creations from the shoot drew on the surrounding area's floral bounty of figs, blackberries and olives. The dessert bar featured a fig and chocolate éclair, mini blackberry clafoutis mini fig tartlets, macarons and a traditional croquembouche freshly made that morning at the local patisserie in Grignan.

TeamAmour shoots are truly a collaborative effort and I am so thrilled with the magically shoot that Cat Hepple captured beautifully with her expert eye.

All vendors used within TeamAmour shoots are available for weddings throughout France so do be sure to check out the links to their websites below.
