Pink Wedding Centerpieces

Pink Wedding Centerpieces

It seems that every single time I write a post showcasing pink details I struggle with not referencing Pretty in Pink (in my defense, it is a classic). But I promise, this time, to stay on track and keep my focus on these gorgeous flowers, and not how much Molly Ringwald rocks a teen romcom.

From the palest of pinks to the brightest of magentas, these floral centerpieces all effectively show off their pink hued blooms. Above, these creamy white hydrangeas give just enough contrast against these petal-shaded peonies. Simple vases, like this silver option, won't compete with such light flowers.

Below, the same goes for these pretty pink tulips in clear glass jars for a more rustic, but equally lovely, arrangement.

If your color palette involves slightly deeper pinks, you can pair them with paler pink flowers instead of white ones for a similar effect. Above, this lush, low centerpiece is feminine and sweet-an ideal arrangement for a vintage wedding reception.

The color of your vases can have such an impact on the effect of your centerpiece. As mentioned earlier, the pale peachy pink garden roses on the left (above) are best complemented with a clear vase unless you want them to have a cream appearance. Brighter flowers like the roses and ranunculus placed in a vivid aqua vase like the one on the right (above) look even more vibrant.

If you really enjoy a monochromatic pink arrangement, find an assortment of pink and neutral flowers and an equally rosy container, like the glass pitchers below. This would also make a splendid arrangement for a bridal shower sweet table.

Of course, it could be that muted blooms are just not for you. Indeed, sherbet brights and deeply colorful centerpieces are making a big comeback. Above, dusty miller provides an excellent backdrop for frilly peonies and bubblegum pink ranunculus. Below, bright pink blooms cheerfully peek out from a table length runner of greenery, creating a modern version of The Secret Garden.

Decorate your welcome table with a oversized arrangement filled with pinks and purples for a traditionally romantic, but nonetheless breathtaking, statement.

This modern pink tablescape is full of fuchsia flowers framed with bright white containers and bud vases. By adding in a variety of other natural elements, such as feathers and moss, the vivid pink remains the focal point of the table.
