5 Tips to Make You Sparkle on Your Wedding Day

You should look and feel your absolute best on your wedding day! Here are five tips that will help you ensure everything is perfect:

1. Don't try any new beauty treatments or change your regimen.

You'll want to do things like up your skin care ante in anticipation of your big day, but be careful not to try any unknown products or treatments within one month of your wedding. You may have heard wonderful things about that fancy new peel from your dermatologist, but now is not the time to find out that you're allergic to it. Likewise, do beauty and hair treatments at least a week ahead.

2. Practice your hair and makeup.

Don't wait to start thinking about what kind of hair and makeup you want-have it all planned out. Make time to sit down with your hair and makeup artist (or if you're DIY-ing, carve out time to play in front of the mirror) and figure out exactly what you're going for. Take pictures, write down the products you used, and then sit back and relax on your wedding day with total confidence in the outcome.

3. Get a good night's sleep.

We know this is easier said than done, but do your best to get a good night's sleep before your wedding. It's tempting to stay up late fretting over last-minute details or spending time with all of your family and friends in town, but trust us, you're going to need those extra ZZZs tomorrow! Put technology away, drink some herbal tea, have a relaxing bath, strap on that eye mask, and plant yourself in bed with enough time to get a solid eight hours.

4. Eat a big breakfast.

Seriously, though, please make time for more than a cup of coffee. It's entirely possible that after breakfast, you may not get the chance to chow down again until your caterer shoves a plate of food in your hands at the reception. You don't want to be starving all day, or worse, feeling lightheaded as you walk down the aisle.

5. Get your jewelry cleaned.

This will be the most photographed day of your life, and your outfit will likely be documented in detail. You'll definitely want to make time in the weeks before your wedding to take both your rings and your fiancé's in to get cleaned, and if necessary, resized or re-dipped. While you're at it, ask your jeweler to shine up your other accessories so they're looking their best, too! Between your freshly steamed dress, flawless shoes and sparkling jewels, you'll feel like the princess you are!

Follow these tips and you're sure to sparkle on your big day!
