When designer Brad Webb, of Darb Bridal Couture, shows his collections it is evident that much of his inspiration comes from the glamour and old-world opulence of French grand couturiers like Dior and Chanel. However, his latest collection injects a sense of the latest fashion trends while still maintaining that classic bridal style that has seen him win countless prestigious fashion awards. Brad collaborated with milliner Heidi Holmes of Shut The Front Door, stylist Nicky McLauchlan (our very own Ms Lace!) and photographer Leah Desborough to bring us this stunning inspired by Versailles bridal style shoot.

"The inspiration behind this shoot was that of Versailles in France," explains the stylist, Nicky McLauchlan. "Think glamorous brides traipsing through luscious gardens, running down the hall of mirrors, indulging in decadent cake and draping themselves on splendid interiors." Included in the very talented vendor team is alluring makeup by Misha Makeup, stunning hair by Geoffrey Herberg Hair, the strikingly elegant cake by Cake That and simple stylish flowers by French Flowers.

"This collection is contemporary without compromising on elegance and tradition", Brad says. "Some of the collection is about fine detailing, beadwork, embellishment and embroidery, while the other part of the collection is about the unique and exclusive fabrics that appeal to the fashionista bride." Much like the stylish designer himself, Brad's mix of statement designs, luxurious European fabrics and perfectly corseted gowns photographed in this collection aren't for wallflowers. "She's not the shy bride in the corner- she's the bride that wants to turn heads," Brad says describing the typical Darb bride.

Shut The Front Door 's collection of show-stopping couture head pieces has been inspired by fashions of the past. The bespoke designs combine traditional techniques, exquisite materials and refined craftsmanship. "Heidi is equally as creative and fashion-forward as Brad, her distinctive approach to millinery is apparent, it's spectacular decorative art," says stylist, "Nothing screams self-assurance like a statement gown and headpiece that shocks and delights."

Thank you to the dream team of vendors. A special thank you to Ms Lace for sharing this opulent shoot with us, and for giving a voice to such a stunning collaboration. Honestly, with designers like Darb Bridal Couture and Shut The Front Door in your city, who needs to travel all the way to Versailles in France! C'est tres chic!
