One soon-to-be-married couple put the party on hold and carved out some time to give back during their joint bachelor/ bachelorette weekend.
On Oct. 14, Oni Burrell, Philip Colston and their wedding party stopped by A.G. Rhodes Health & Rehab, a non-profit nursing home in Atlanta, to spend time dancing and playing games like Bingo and Scrabble with the residents.
The cause was near and dear to the bride. While she was in college in Louisiana, she took care of her grandmother and said she has "a special place in [her] heart for the elderly."
"My parents raised me to always give and do unto others as I would have them do unto me," she told the staff at A.G. Rhodes. "I enjoy volunteering and just felt like if I can come to Atlanta to have fun, I can come and give back while there."
Burrell and Colston plan to tie the knot in March 2017.
